We are the proud owners of a 2003 American Tug 34 (hull #48). With four years of ownership including a little over 2 years of full-time cruising and living aboard, we have learned quite a bit about our boat. We have compiled a document of ‘everything we’ve learned’ about our boat based on our experiences, as well as the experiences of other American Tug owners. The document includes information from postings from the 'old' Yahoo Groups ATUGOA website, as it is no longer actively maintained. We've noted in the document when we have included information from other owners. We would especially like to thank Charles Pope and Jim Shates for their contributions. The document is available on our website at http://www.tugtardis.com/ownerexperiences.htm. It is available for download as a single large file (approximately 5Mb) as well as individual files by chapter. All of the information is published as Adobe Acrobat pdf files. We intend to maintain this information with periodic updates. We welcome comments, corrections, and would especially appreciate additional experiences from other owners. The more data-points we can include in this document, the more useful it will be for all owners. Please send these directly to us (

). While we hope this document will be useful for other owners of American Tug 34s, there are probably some items that will carry-over to an AT41 or even the new AT49. Now for the legalese (aka ‘Weasel Words’): This document was not prepared nor is it endorsed by Tomco, the builder of the American Tug. While we believe that the information contained in this document is factual, neither the authors nor the operators of this website accept any responsibility for damage that may occur as a result of the information contained in this document.
